Today the project is led by Yves Fernand, head of the migratory birdlife of theONCFS (Office National de la Chasse et de la Faune Sauvage) together with the FNC (Fédération Nationale des Chasseurs) and the CICB itself. From spring 2017 they will be applied British and American equipment to obtain new data on the behavior and habits of these species.
The research will become even more complex and in-depth, but traditional ringing will not be missing. The 2015-2016 season of snipe and whisk was characterized by the decidedly "sweet" winter and with the only difference between North and South of France. The weather made a difference, though there was nothing catastrophic. In a nutshell, last season it remained overall average.
