The best shooters in the world
Il Tav Montecatini Pieve a Nievole is preparing for a great return, that of the Grand Prix of Nations. The event was the first to bring together the best shooters from all over the world with annual events and, on the basis of the fortunate all-Italian intuition, it was the forerunner of today's World Cups. An event organized directly by the Federation, which attracted the elite of world clay shooting to our country, giving life to a unique and very exciting event.
A wait of several years
After a stop of many years, in September 2024 the Tav Montecatini Pieve a Nievole has decided to organize this competition again, opening participation to anyone who wants to try their hand at the launches of the Tuscan facility. “An event that is linked to the past, built with solid and deep roots, but at the same time projects itself towards the future”.
A competition open to all
“It will be a wonderful opportunity to remember two great characters like Bruno Mario Rossetti and Daniele Cioni, who gave so much to Italian clay shooting, first as shooters and then as technicians appreciated throughout the world – commented Luciano Rossi, President of Fitav and ISSF – The Federation is proud to support the management of Tav Montecatini in this ambitious undertaking, as it always does with international events organized by other organizations, and we are sure that the same organizational contribution will come from all over the national territory. It will be an Open race, meaning open to everyone, and I trust in the widest possible participation." The Grand Prix of Nations will be included in the Calendar of Major Competitions and in that of the ISSF, International Shooting Sports Federation (source: FITAV).
