The fires that are burning large areas of Piedmont led to a provision concerning hunting. The Management Committee of the Turin Alpine District 3 met to ask the Region to suspend the hunt for wild boars, hares, pheasants, foxes, migratory and typical alpine fauna until the next November 5. In addition, the selection hunt for roe deer and chamois was requested to be closed in District "B".
Several Turin municipalities have issued special ordinances to prohibit hunting. In particular, we can cite the cases of the municipal territories of Novalesa (until further notice), Giaveno (until 31 October), Chianocco (until further notice) and Bussoleno (until 1 November). However, it should be remembered that all hunters assigned roe deer and chamois in Turin district B they will be able to obtain a garment from another district in the period from November 16 to December 14 (roe deer) and from November 25 to December 14 (chamois).
Unfortunately, the latest news on the fires is not encouraging. In Val di Susa the situation is critical and the number of evacuees has exceeded share one thousand. In some areas, including that of the aforementioned Novalesa, the flames even reached 70 meters in height.
