Endless damage
Wild boars are responsible for 75% of damage in agriculture and over time have led many farmers to abandon important and profitable crops such as potatoes, protein peas, polenta corn or the sunflower.
Appeal to the Prefecture
“With wildlife that is now, in various areas of the province, uncontainable with traditional selecontrol methods, it is necessary to adopt new strategies otherwise politics will be jointly responsible for the depopulation of the hinterland”. This is the appeal launched by Coldiretti AscolI Fermo to the Prefect of Ascoli Sante Copponi, number one in security and public order.
Hunters and conservationists
“The invasion of wild boars is a real invasion and to drastically reduce their number we do not need ideological conflicts between hunters and environmentalists but the full operation of current provisions and new regulatory instruments”, commented the agricultural organization (source: Coldiretti).
