The Umbrian farmers and breeders of the association Coldiretti they feel exasperated, disappointed and angry. The reason for so much despair is represented by the uncontrolled proliferation of ungulates, wild boar, fallow deer, roe deer and also wolves that are devastating their crops, cutting down the flocks and putting the security of the territory at risk.
Precisely for this reason, tomorrow, Thursday 13 October 2016, they will meet at theUmbriafiere of Bastia Umbra (in the province of Perugia) to discuss and deepen the subject, in the hope that a definitive solution will be found. Coldiretti Umbria says enough to damage caused by wildlife, moreover the discontent is increased by the bureaucracy that does not allow to receive quickly the European contributions for the agricultural sector.
All this ruins company balance sheets and investments, without forgetting the difficulties of the prices at the origin that are recognized to farmers. In the Umbrian countryside there is a lot of tension and it should not be underestimated. Tomorrow breeders and growers from all over Umbria will meet to claim the will to produce for consumers and not for wild animals and predators. Finally, a loud cry will be raised against the delays that are aggravating the situation.
