Saturday 9 and Sunday 10 April the sixteenth edition of the Italian FIDASC Championship reserved for handlers of standing dogs on partridges. As announced in the official press release of the federation, the event, one of the most authoritative and traditional of hunting canine without shooting, was organized by ASD "Giotto", while the place of performance was the federal zone of Collacchioni (Arezzo). The choice was not accidental, this same part of Tuscany is defined "A slice of Serbia in Italy" for the numerous pairs of partridges and for the wealth of wildlife of all kinds, a presence that makes every race difficult and exciting. In the ground they took turns 106 competitors: going into the specifics of the Championship, 38 were the drivers of the category "Continental" (29 Epagneul Breton, 8 Kurzhaar and a French Bracco) and 68 those in the category "English" (58 English Setters and 10 Pointers).
The climatic conditions were not optimal, with very tall and wet grass, especially in the morning hours, consequently the selection was not easy and in the second battery of the English races no one has managed to classify. The president of FIDASC, Happy Bouillon, was present at Collacchioni and wanted to underline the unparalleled direction of the Championship and the commitment of all the collaborators. In the context of the "Continentali", the 2016 Italian champion is Giuseppe Iacomini with the Spaniel Breton Arthur, capable of achieving the title of Excellent.
The second place went instead to Marigliano Mazzoleni with the French Bracco Daffy Du Pied Du Mont (Very good). The lowest step of the podium was occupied by Massimiliano Meloni with Kurzhaar Muller (Very good). There Toscana she graduated Italian champion in the teams with 10 total points: Maurizio Alovardi with De Keranlouan, Stefano Boschi with Jago, Gianni Calcinai with Schumy, Giuseppe Iacomini with Artù and Andrea Tureddi with Atina made up the winning group. In second place was the Lombardia with seven points. The race relating to the "English" was also very interesting.
The 2016 Italian champion was Stefano Pianigiani with Pianigiani's Hans Setter and the title of First Excellent Cac-Cacit. The podium was completed by Enzo Ortolani with the Ardo Setter (According to Excellent Cac-Riserva Cacit) and by the same Ortolani with the Pointer Agavit Nausica (Excellent). Finally, the champion regional team was that of Marche with eleven points: it was composed of Marco Antinori with Anto, Mirko Caramanti with Elacensis Hurry up, Enzo Ortolani with Ardo, Tiziano Fabbrocile with Thor and Tarcisio Benigni with Ajax.
