CONARMI (Italian Armourers Consortium) has organized an interesting course on Telenarcosis. The lessons can be held both online and at the headquarters of Monte Fuso Provincial Park of Scurano (Parma). The course is aimed at veterinarians and students attending the fifth year of the veterinary faculty who will be required to intervene in the area for emergencies with animals in difficulty, wild or domestic feral, guaranteeing the well-being of the animals themselves.
The course aims to provide the regulatory, pharmacological, anesthetic, clinical and technical training regarding: choice and use of drugs and weapons; capturing, keeping, monitoring and transporting the animal; legal-administrative relations with public bodies. During the practical part the equipment and weapons will be illustrated and are provided practical tests on shapes in the presence of a shooting director. It is worth remembering that the use, possession and administration of anesthetic drugs is allowed only to veterinarians.
The goal is precisely to train these professionals who must intervene for emergencies with animals in distress when the administration of an anesthetic drug at a distance is required. The recipients are veterinarians enrolled in the Register and students in the fifth year of the veterinary faculty. The program provides online lessons, practical lessons in the field, blowgun shooting tests and tools for tele-injection, certificate of participation.
