As recalled by the CCT, yesterday Thursday 21 February with 272 votes in favor, 141 against and 17 abstentions, the House was given the go-ahead to Constitutional amendment (art. 71 and 75), proposed by Movement 5 Stars for the insertion of the quorum at 25% for the propositive referendum, lowering that for the abrogative consideration to the same percentage. The reform presented by the pentastellati essentially provides for to be able to present proposals for popular laws to parliament, as long as they are supported by at least 500 signatures and which must then be approved within eighteen months of their submission.
In the event of failure to pronounce Parliament within these terms, the word would in fact pass to the Italian citizens, who with precisely an "approval" or "abrogative" quorum of 25% of those entitled to vote, about 12 million voters, would be called to express themselves on the referendum matter. In these terms, a very concrete risk would materialize for our passion, and in the event that a question about one of the key items that protect the hunting activity, highly limiting scenarios could be opened for all hunters. Although the process started is still long and tortuous (both a second passage in the Chamber and in the Senate will certainly be necessary, if not even a referendum on the Constitutional amendment ...) the danger is real.
It is therefore the duty of the hunting associations to monitor a delicate situation, also dealing with the political forces at stake; On the subject of hunting, there are more and more contradictions within all parties, including those who have proved to be closest to the hunting world so far and to the Italian rural reality. Unfortunately, as already happened for the story concerning the Tav and the great works, we must find that the Alloy it did not follow a path consistent with its own programs, and even in this case, it seems instead to have followed the will of the M5S, which, despite losing consensus in the area, continues to dictate the government agenda.
