The Confederation of Tuscan Hunters on the question of hunting lodges, it is necessary to have greater clarity and eventually fill the regulatory gaps.
The facts: a ruling by the Constitutional Court overturned the law of the Veneto Region on fixed stalking, jeopardizing those of other regions as well. The Confederation and the associations that adhere to it have activated all the institutions and political forces, obtaining from the Tuscany Region a law, unanimously approved, which defines in detail the characteristics that the stalking must respect in order to avoid incurring the need to have the permits required for building constructions. The Government, in the meeting of the Council of Ministers on 27 December last, resolved not to observe the Tuscan law, which is therefore fully legitimate and in force today. So what does the regional councilor and leader of Forza Italia Santini refer to, when, regarding the provision prepared by the region and voted by himself, he says that the Region "... instead of safeguarding hunters has created a real conflict of attributions between State and Region which ended, inevitably with the prevailing of the first over the second? ".
There is certainly a need for an adaptation of national regulations, which are decidedly incomplete on the subject; the extensions to the deadlines indicated by the regional law are useful, and therefore the commitment in this direction is appreciable; however, clarity wants that no groundless news and useless alarmisms are spread, all the more difficult to understand if they come from those who have contributed to the Tuscan law and given their consent. Even less understandable than hunting associations like the Free Hunt, which seem to want to steal the job from the anti-hunting front, are struggling in an attempt to "dismantle" a rule that protects hunters.
