The words of the commissioner
“The Region is already working to develop the necessary adjustments on the Hunting Wildlife Plan, according to the technical and administrative indications received". This was stated today by the Councilor for Hunting of the Veneto Region, Cristiano Corazzari, after the sentence of the Constitutional Court which defined the Plan launched by the Region as "illegitimate".
Reassurance
"These are technical-juridical adjustments - adds Corazzari - which will not cause inconvenience or problems for hunting practitioners". In fact, the Constitutional Court, with sentence n. 148/2023 declared the constitutional illegitimacy of art. 1 of the regional law 28 January 2022, n. 2, containing «Regional wildlife-hunting plan (2022-2027) and amendments to regional law 9 December 1993, n. 50 "Regulations for the protection of wildlife and for hunting"».
Process to be completed
The Court found the question of constitutional legitimacy of art. 1 of the law reg. no. 2 of 2022, which approved the wildlife-hunting plan by law, rather than by an administrative act. The process will then be completed through a provision by the Council which readopts the Plan for final approval, with administrative resolution, by the Regional Council (source: Veneto Region).
