Hunters in Bolzano can't sleep soundly. The events that have unfolded in recent months do not bode well, and those who regularly hunt have to contend with threats, insults, and raids . As a hunter reported to the Caccia Passione editorial team , it all began with the start of this hunting season, specifically after the destruction of thirty hides used for selective hunting. The vandals didn't just destroy the area, they also defaced the posts with scathing insults, all signed with the initials ALF (Animal Liberation Front).
Furthermore, during the first hunting weekends, the tires of approximately 40 cars were slashed and punctured, not to mention the noisy and tireless troublemakers who interrupted the sampling with their whistles. Two other serious incidents were reported in the news: the attack in Nalles ( including violent kicks and punches) and the assault on the headquarters of the South Tyrolean Hunters' Association in Bolzano: the building was defaced with threatening graffiti in the South Tyrolean dialect (the phrase was very explicit and can be translated as "Coward hunter, sooner or later you'll get shot").
As if all this were not enough, our reader has been the target of further intimidation , as his car was graffitied with the word “assassin”, one of the many, too many attacks and damages that are having repercussions on the private and family lives of Bolzano hunters.
