Concern and alarm
The Veneto Hunting Associations gathered in the "Cabina di Regia Veneto", having become aware of the numerous reports raised by agents of some Supervisory bodies and referring above all to the methods of hunting migratory game from ambush, express deep concern and alarm over interpretations, which appear questionable, of current regulations with possible consequences, including criminal ones, which create a widespread perception among hunters of being the object of prejudiced and intimidating attitudes. This inevitably creates disaffection towards the institutions and the rule of law.
The solutions to look for
In this regard, the undersigned Associations are working with the relevant national and regional institutions to reach DEFINITIVE SOLUTIONS on the following issues:
Update and adapt the legislation regarding the rings used on live decoys to dispel any interpretative doubts. Other Administrations have already moved by developing ad hoc legislative actions in this sense.
Clarify the methods for marking killed animals on the hunting card.
Live calls
These are the other topics:
Uniform the interpretation, also with the help of the regional veterinary structure, of the various provincial police forces regarding the use of ducks as live decoys. Currently only the Provincial Police of Venice prohibits its use.
Reopening, with appropriate measures, of the capture plants.
We also ask that the checks are carried out in compliance with the rules and without trampling on the freedom and dignity of people (ANLC – ANUU – ARCICACCIA – ENALCACCIA – EPS – FIdC – CACCIATORI ITALIANI – CPA).
