Fund Management
Federcaccia and with it all the associations gathered in the Control Room of the hunting world – Enalcaccia, Arcicaccia, ANLC, ANUUMigratoristi, Italcaccia – and the CNCN – National Hunting and Nature Committee, take a position on the recent investigation by the Guardia di Finanza which involves the Hon. Michele Vittoria Brambilla in proceedings relating to the management of funds earmarked for animal protection, recently the subject of interest on the television programme Report. The Control Room preferred to wait until the end of the episodes dedicated to the topic to have the most complete picture possible of what Report reconstructed, through Giulia Innocenzi's reportage, before making a decision, aware that new elements may arise in the future.
Top quality products: from the depths of the
The news that Hon. Brambilla, who has always been committed to the issue of animal welfare, would be involved in commercial activities managed in an unclear manner and attributable to the sale of fish products, raises evidence of the damage caused by the lack of transparency and coherence in initiatives related to environmental and wildlife protection. Unfortunately, more and more often, behind the banner of environmental welfare, actions are hidden that can generate repercussions on the economic and reputational impact of the animal and environmental supply chain.
Open and constant dialogue
For these reasons, the associations gathered in the Control Room of the hunting world have been working for a long time together with the best environmental, scientific, agricultural and academic world, for a clear and responsible management of nature. Only an integrated approach, based on scientific evidence and on an open and constant dialogue between the different interested parties, can constitute a concrete and structured model of sustainable management of environmental and animal resources. This Control Room therefore makes an appeal to protect those who are committed in a concrete, transparent and responsible way to the management of nature, hoping that clarity will be quickly shed on the work of those who act as spokespersons for crucial issues such as animal welfare, actually pursuing personal interests (Federcaccia, Enalcaccia, AnuuMigratoristi, Arcicaccia, Associazione Nazionale Libera Caccia, Italcaccia, CNCN – Comitato Nazionale Caccia Natura).
