The no from the Police Headquarters
A ruling from the Regional Administrative Court of Lazio dates back to July 16th which adds a new series of cases to the already very large one regarding the possession of a hunting license. In fact, one man was denied the renewal of his rifle port due to a conviction in the first degree for fraudulent bankruptcy. The choice of the police headquarters led to an in-depth investigation by the TAR judges.
The motivations
According to the Regional Administrative Court, every person involved in such situations must be able to demonstrate impeccable and irreproachable conduct in life. Unreliability, then, is assessed by the judges in a discretionary manner, consequently even a crime such as bankruptcy which has no connection with weapons can be included among the impeding causes.
Appeal rejected
Among other things, and certainly not a secondary detail, the appellant had already been involved in another revocation of his hunting license in the past. The judges then confirmed the decision of the Police Headquarters and the renewal of the rifle license was officially denied.
