The figure of the hunter, sentinel of the territory in sighting, reporting and when possible, intervene in case of fires. The children immediately showed interest in the subject, paying particular attention to what concerns the animal world; in fact, their enthusiasm grew when, with a fashion show, the various ones were presented breeds of hunting dogs and, for each, the various tasks are illustrated. Also present Brus, labrador, the dog that saves people at sea, with his handler Giuseppe; and then Ciro, the German shepherd hero, accompanied by Giulia and Alessandro; Guapa, by Michele Marzano, who showed obedience and amused himself with the game of discs; the hounds of Pino Flagelli and Vincenzo Guzzi and finally Milka, the she-wolf of Gina Arcuri, Veterinary Doctor.
Also treated the theme of the abandonment of animals, which leads to strays, the cause of the spread of diseases and especially accidents, underlining that when you adopt a dog, you have to do it with love and dedication ... the dog is not a toy! The day, visibly appreciated by the children, gave great satisfaction especially to the organizers, who thank all those who contributed to the success of the meeting: the head teacher of the Cotronei Comprehensive Institute, the Primary School teachers, prof. Pasquale Pariano who spoke of the sea, the Municipality of Cotronei for the availability of the square, the Councilor Vincenzo Girimonte for the presence and Provincial Volunteer Guards Federcaccia for the collaboration. Full approval and sharing by the Provincial Federcaccia, which hopes this is only the beginning of a journey that can be an example to follow to carry forward the fundamental values of our association: the defense and protection of the territory… It is no coincidence that a past campaign enunciated this slogan, which is always relevant for us: “Man inherits the earth and guards it to leave it intact for his children”.
