Arci Caccia Champions Cup - CSAA on quails in Colfiorito: Scarpecci wins everything. Pianigiani, Lascialfari and Rossetti in the places of honor.
Roberto Scarpecci is the protagonist, in Colfiorito, of the Arci Caccia Csaa Champions Cup in the specialty of aptitude tests on released quail. For the conductor from the Marches double victory, both in the continental and in the English and in the history of the event, now in its eleventh edition, there are no similar results confirming the absolute value of the primacy achieved. In addition, there was a ruthless “competition” to be countered since, as the regulation provides, for access to the Champions Cup it was necessary to have achieved an excellent in similar or higher (classic) tests. A good batch of dogs were presented so as to form 27 pairs in the English and 10 in the continental ones that were subjected to the judgment of Americo Procaccini and Goffredo De Matteis (English) and Sergio Bianconi and Alvaro Mantovani (continental).
It was really nice to see how the judges themselves pointed out during the awards ceremony and forming the rankings meant analyzing the details of each dog's test and dwelling on the details. Suffice it to mention in this regard that in the English 12 excellent and 9 very good were awarded while in the continental 4 excellent and 2 very good. At the end of the tests, in the English, it is the English setter Clooney of Roberto Scarpecci who impresses the most and gets on the top step of the podium. Behind him, respectively. two more setters: Anakin by Stefano Pianigiani and Ardo by Rossetti. Also worth mentioning are the excellent English setters Back (Mercanti), Juro (Chianella), Alan and Lory (Pianigiani), Lem and elton (Mariani), Ace and Dero (benign) and the pointer Ola (Capriotti). To follow with the very good (all English setters) Asco and Kim (Proietti), Ford and Douglas (Pianigiani), Dark (Brugnoni), Teo (Cacciamanni), Thor (Fabbrocile), Dante (Codini).
Relatively “simpler” to draw up the ranking on the continentals and Roberto Scarpecci with his short hair "Leaves" only third place to Fabio Lascialfari with the Breton Iglò. The champion is Vamos, in second place Idolo. For Scarpecci still an excellent with the kurzhaar Laki and a very good, always a German bracco, with vegas. The epagneul breton Pablo di Morichi is also very good. The awards were also the occasion for Giorgio Filippucci, coordinator of the event and dog activities, and Emanuele Bennati, regional president of the Arci Caccia, to illustrate the "dog project" and make them participate, as is happening in Umbria and in the regions of central Italy, all those who are interested in Italy in creating the conditions for quality dog lovers at the service of land and wildlife management. In this way, said Filippucci and Bennati, the reasons for good hunting are strengthened and the territories managed by the public administration and managed by private companies are supported, even economically.
The theme was taken up by Marco Ciarafoni, president of the Arci Caccia national council, who stressed the need to make the dog lover take on a more active and concrete role in the dynamics of the hunting system, to overcome a complex period that would need a greater unitary sharing, on projects and objectives, between the various hunting associations. Applause for the winners but the warmest ones went to the organizers. An aptitude test needs the humble and meticulous work of many volunteers and the team fielded by the president of the Arci Caccia club in Foligno Bruno Broccolo was really up to it. Special thanks to Massimo Cavaterra, Marcello Maltempi, Dino Pansanella, Domenico Guerrini, Mirko Pagnotta, Giancarlo Di Cicco Pucci, Giorgio and Roberto Tognoloni, Elia Murgia, Alberto Eusepi, Ottavio Pennacchi, Giorgio Torti .
A sincere thanks also to the Smarty Dog of Grosseto, sponsor of the event and of many other sporting activities of the Arci Caccia. Quality products for dog food that many are enjoying. The value for money is really advantageous. The event ended with a moment of great emotion because for the fourth consecutive year the trophy Attilio De Sanctis was awarded to commemorate a member of the Arci Caccia, a great connoisseur of dogs and a great fan of dog lovers. Attilio certainly did not feel humiliated if in circumstances like these he did his best in placing quails despite the fact that he could aspire to decidedly different roles. But he was like that. The trophy was awarded to the English setter Boss of Mr. Brillo who, although not in the standings, offered a performance of great temperament and class to the judges and dog lovers.
