A supply chain to be built
With the rotation and fixed stakeout technique, 3.000 animals were killed in the first half of 2023, with a clear growth trend in the harvest. Most of them were introduced to supply chain processes in processing centres. In the fight against excess numbers, the Basilicata Region is in fact working on a project to set up a supply chain that includes all the phases of the process starting from the capture or killing of the specimens, through the activation and management of collection centers, the transport and disposal of the carcasses, up to the production of processed products under the Lucanian brand" (source: Basilicata Region).
