Inspection required
There is a need for a review and development of a regional wildlife and hunting plan Valle d'Aosta which dates back to sixteen years ago, through the widest participation of all those involved". This was declared by the Rassemblement valdotain group which presented a motion in the chamber (approved unanimously).
Strategic environmental assessment
The text, reformulated in agreement with the Councilor for Natural Resources, invites the Councilor to present the wildlife-hunting plan to the competent Commission during the period in which the document will be sent to the Strategic Environmental Assessment (VAS) procedure so as to allow all councilors to participate in the proceedings with observations".
The next steps
“The opinions of ISPRA, the Regional Committee for Hunting Management and the Regional Wildlife Council, necessary for the approval of the proposal of the Wildlife-Hunting Plan by the Council, have already been acquired – said Councilor Davide Sapinet. Subsequently, the document will be sent to the Strategic Environmental Assessment (VAS) procedure and, at the end of the 45-day publication foreseen for the collection of any observations from stakeholders, the Council will approve the final proposal of the Plan to be sent to the Council for its approval and, right at the end of the Vas, the presentation of the document to the Commission was expected" (ANSA).
