The title of the 2024 edition
After the previous successes, Fondazione UNA has launched the new edition of the Digital Race, the contest aimed at university students with the aim of involving them in the development of innovative project ideas to understand and face the current challenges related to wildlife and hunting management. Furthermore, starting from this year, on the proposal of the Scientific Committee of Fondazione UNA, the contest will be named in memory of Prof. Franco Perco, zoologist and leading expert in wildlife management, as well as hunter. This is a digital contest dedicated to students of Bachelor's and Master's degree courses in disciplines relating to the protection of natural heritage and biodiversity, environmental and forestry sciences, with a focus on wildlife, hunting and environmental conservation and management. For this edition the theme to be developed is: "Wildlife management and scientific research: a transversal and multidisciplinary approach that starts from the territory".
Future developments
The modern approach to wildlife and hunting management and to the conservation of the environment and fauna involves the intertwining of multiple skills, different professional and voluntary figures and the skills of a various range of stakeholders. It is essential to understand how these elements intersect to evaluate and imagine future developments. To achieve a common goal, with the power of synergies, you can make a difference. The Digital Race formally began on July 1st and groups of students from the participating universities will be able to present the project idea which will then be developed over the following months and which must be completed and delivered in the form of a video by April 13th 2025. All the details are contained in the attached regulation.
The prizes that will be awarded
All projects delivered by this date will be presented at the Caccia Village 2025 event scheduled from 10 to 12 May 2025 in Bastia Umbra, and on this occasion, the winners will be announced:

School and university
UNA represents a meeting place for the exchange of ideas and projects between the environmentalist, agricultural, hunting and scientific-academic worlds. This is why school and university are places of choice for the Foundation where we can talk and experiment freely, raise questions and cultivate a taste for discovery and transformation of ourselves and reality.
