The opinion of address
A guiding opinion is that of the Ministry of Agriculture, Food Sovereignty and Forests, which in response to the question presented by the Hon. Francesco Bruzzone, head of the Lega Department for the management of wildlife, expressed his opinion on the definition of the legal nature of the faunal specimens raised compared to wild ones.
The indications of the jurisprudence
The Ministry found itself in line with the jurisprudential indications indicated by Bruzzone in its text, evaluating the opportunity of an ad hoc legislative modification. “Finally clarity has also been clarified for live raised recalls, we have obtained the green light for the regulatory changes on the transposition of the jurisprudence on the matter, on which our Department is already working” declares Bruzzone who underlines “the Ministry has also appropriately highlighted, how the farmed fauna is subjected to direct selection by man, who controls and regulates its reproduction, shaping its genome and attitudes over time, from which we further deduce the fact that it is not subject to the obligations envisaged for wildlife homeotherm.
Faunal specimens
A step forward as important as it is necessary regarding the definition of the legal nature of faunal specimens with ancestral phenotype, bred and kept in detention, as well as to clarify the numerous controversies related to live breeding calls, held and used in stalking hunting (source: FIDC).
