Released game
On a weekend where the heat tested dogs, competitors, judges, and organizers, the City of Rosignano Trophy , a dog competition for released game (pheasants), took place again this year. The competition took place in an atmosphere of friendship and healthy competition, conducted as always with great professionalism by judges Michele Betti and Marco Orlandini, who, in perfect harmony with the organizers, perfectly captured the spirit of the competition, which by now has traditionally been intended as a moment of good dog training, but also of conviviality and an opportunity to remember our friends Alessandro Lami and Gianluca Pedroni, who passed away prematurely.
Organizational machine
The judges' experience and skill, along with the well-oiled organizational structure, allowed over 100 dogs to compete, some of which demonstrated excellent hunting skills, especially considering the temperatures on the competition grounds. The organizers sincerely thank the public and competitors, some of whom traveled from far away to participate in such a prestigious event, for their participation and, above all, for their contribution to ensuring the competition was held in a truly enjoyable setting.
The subjects who have distinguished themselves most
Special thanks go to all the sponsors who support this event every year, and especially to "Safety Life," which donated the two trophies awarded to the dogs that stood out in the two categories, Search and Point. The winners of the Search category were Daniele Fantei's Springer Spaniel Cesare, who won the Memorial A. Lami and a 20-gauge over-and-under shotgun. In the Point category, a similar shotgun and the Memorial G. Pedroni title were won by Stefano Boninsegni's Epagneul Breton Nero. Among the various rankings, a well-deserved victory was deservedly achieved by an English setter, handled by a young hunter living in the municipality of Rosignano: Matteo Scarlatti's Ambrofellis Zeus. This pair rose above all others, winning the Marivera Trophy named after Alessandro Borella, a well-known hunter from Rosignano who recently passed away. See you next year, dog lovers and hunters, and thank you all (source: FIDC).
