Italy is experiencing a silent but profound transformation: 27,1% of families now live with at least one dog, for a total of 8,8 million domestic dogs according to ASSALCO-Zoomark 2024 data. But the real revolution lies in the fact that 91% of owners consider their dogs to be members of the family in all respects, a figure that rises to 51% among young people who define them as "children". This growing humanization, combined with greater awareness of animal welfare, has triggered an explosive growth in dog sports: the FIDASC circuit - Italian Federation of Sporting Weapons and Sports Dog Training and CSEN - National Educational Sports Center, has 30.000+ active members with a doubling of participation in the last year alone (source: FIDASC).
