The Milan section of the Italian Federation of Hunting has communicated the official calendar of all provincial tests that are intended for pointing and hunting dogs and which are valid for the Absolute Regional Championship of Lombardy in 2016. There are six categories that will be competing to win the title of regional champion, namely Young Britons, Young Continental, Free English, Free Continental, Hunters and Search. The first date that has been set is that of next March 6 when there will be a test on quails in Oggiono (province of Lecco). A week later it will be the turn of the same type of test, but in Treviolo (Bergamo). There are also tests on partridges and a test on pheasants on June 26th.
Furthermore, the provinces involved are those of Brescia, Mantua, Varese, Pavia, Como, Monza-Brianza and Milan. Very interesting, then, is the date of next 14 August, when the single test of the Italian Typical Alpine Championship will take place, to be precise in Giovo (Como). The category of Hunters (single rounds) provides that the judgment is based on the obligation of bring the dog on a leash during the resolution of the point: any dressage will result in the elimination from the test and it will not be possible to compete for the final classification of the championship.
The judgment will depend from the greed, the connection, the sense of smell and the holding of the dog. The tests intended for the "Young", then, will be judged on the basis of the natural qualities of the subject: the shot is optional in this case and a slight run-up is also allowed. To compete for the final classification of the championship it will be necessary to present the registry certificate (in the event that it is requested). As for the "Free English" category, there will be two rounds and the practical hunting regulations, without forgetting the obligatory nature of the blank shot when the game is fledged.
In the "Free Continental and Search" there will be single rounds and the practical hunting regulation: once again the blank shot at the fledging of the game will be mandatory. For registrations it is necessary to respect as much as possible the times that are displayed and shown on the posters of each individual event. For the tests of the first two categories the dogs must be at most 30 months old. The score is easy to say: 10 points will be assigned to the first classified, 8 to the second, 6 to the third, 4 to the fourth and 3 to the fifth. The regional final of the championship is scheduled for July 10, while the national one on August 27 and 28 in Collacchioni, Tuscany.
