The "Val Trebbia" section of Piacenza ofANUUMigrators andTerritorial Hunting Area PC 9 organized the first edition of the Cup of the Apennines su red partridges. The seat chosen by the association and the Emilian ATC is located in Passo della Caldarola. The event was designed for the pointing dogs: it is a job test that is open to everyone (therefore it is not necessary to be registered with the ANUU) and with two distinct categories, "English Hunter Dog" e "Continental Hunters Dog".
Starting at 7:30 on the same day of competition registrations can be collected, given that a special secretariat will be set up in the camp. The Caldarola Pass is located in the Piacenza Apennines and connects the Trebbia Valley with two municipalities, Bobbio and Piozzano, in addition to the Val Luretta.
It is not the first time that he has been chosen for this type of dog trials. The typical red partridge hunt is typically rambling with pointing dogs, even if on some occasions those looking for are not disdained. The animal is a favorite of hillside dog lovers (both medium and high): in Spain there is a particular hunting levy concerning it, a driven hunt which is known as “Ocheo”.
