Next Sunday, April 24th 2016, is really full of hunting and dog lovers events. Among the most interesting there is also a test intended for pointing dogs on released quail which will take place in Molina fraction of the municipality of Malo, in the province of Vicenza. This is the competition organized byVenet Hunters Associationie from CONFAVE (obviously the two local sections), starting at 7:30 am at the dog training camp. After having specified that we are talking about a test without firing, it should also be emphasized how it is valid for the sixteenth edition of the ACV-CONFAVI Provincial Championship of this year.
The categories that can participate are five, namely "Free English", "English Hunters", "Continental Free", "Continental Hunters" and "Young". As for the prizes, then, they will be awarded to the first six of each category. Normally the valid game is represented by quails whose behavior, both on the ground and in flight, is suitable for the judge to evaluate the work of the pointing dog.
The ideal grounds for these tests are those flat or slightly wavy, well covered by vegetation (neither too high nor too thick). The work required will be the typical one, ie conforming to the characteristics of the breed, with firm solid and expressive, spontaneous consent, tolerated on command.
