Timelines are tightening
With a public position, the Association for Rural Culture had invited all the regional governments of Italy to timely issue their own hunting calendars to prevent probable appeals to the Regional Administrative Courts by anti-hunters and, in the event of an adverse decision by the administrative judges, have time to run for cover and correct any mistakes made before the start of the next hunting season. We would not like to find ourselves in situations again - we wrote in that note - in which hunters are forced to pay the onerous fees imposed for the renewal of their hunting license without knowing how they will hunt during the next hunting season.
A deathly silence
We expected an immediate position from the hunting executives who are part of the "control room" in support of our requests made in the name and in the interest of all hunters. To our partial surprise, we received dead silence from all hunting executives as if fighting in defense of the rights of their associates was not among their priorities.
Hunting season 2023-2024
While waiting for some of these executives from beyond the grave to have the kindness to strike a blow also to reassure their associates on the level of their vegetative state, we renew the appeal addressed to all the regional governments of Italy to issue their calendars as soon as possible hunters for the 2023/2024 hunting season, both to defend the calendars themselves and to demonstrate a dutiful act of respect towards all hunters in Italy who must be guaranteed the right to know how they will hunt during the next hunting season , before being forced to pay the huge sums necessary to exercise one's right to go hunting (Hon. Sergio Berlato – Italian Member of the European Parliament and National President of the Association for Rural Culture).
