The basic requirements
In reference to what was stated by regional councilor Andrea Zanoni regarding the administrative procedure for issuing the hunting license in favor of Foreign citizens with foreign residence, it is highlighted that the Regional Offices have followed the provisions of the reference legislation, specifically art. 12, paragraphs 8 and 12 of Law 157/1992 and art. 14 of Regional Law no. 50/1993, where it is provided that any citizen, therefore both Italian and foreign with foreign residence, in order to be able to practice hunting activities within the Italian national borders must be in possession of the following documents: Rifle license for hunting use (so-called Hunting License) and Hunting Card issued by the Region in which the subject intends to practice hunting activities.
Issuing of hunting license
In this case, the Veneto Region also issues the Hunting Permit to citizens residing abroad on the basis of the presentation of the following documentation: copy of the identity document or passport of the applicant; copy of the authorization to practice hunting in the foreign country of residence, or a declaration in lieu of a sworn statement in which the interested party declares to be in possession of the authorization to practice hunting in the foreign country of residence; insurance policy, in Italian and valid in Italy, for civil liability towards third parties arising from the use of weapons or tools useful for hunting; copy of the payment slip for the regional concession tax in favor of the Veneto Region of 84 euros; written invitation in Italian from the Concessionaire of a Wildlife-Hunting Company or an Agro-Tourist-Hunting Company whose territory falls within the Veneto Region.
Foreign residence
Based on the documentation listed, and duly acquired by the Regional Offices, the hunting license is issued through the specific Regional Information System to foreign citizens with foreign residence. The Veneto Region has also decided to activate a verification procedure through the Hunting Police to carry out the appropriate investigations of the case. (Source VENETO REGION)
