A fundamental summit
In recent days, President Luciano Rossi, in his dual capacity as the greatest exponent of World Shooting and Italian Clay Pigeon Shooting, went to Brussels for a series of meetings with ECHA, the European Union Agency for Substances Chemicals. On the agenda are the proposals to restrict theuse of lead in outdoor shooting sports, a subject that the Fitav Technical Legal College has been studying for almost thirty years.
A historic first time
A very important summit meeting, also because it was the first ever for ISSF and FITAV, to which Rossi was accompanied by Stefano Rosi, Coordinator of the CTG Fitav, by Jorg Brokamp, President of the ISSF Technical Commission, and by Andreas Friendrich, Expert of environmental issues for the German Shooting Federation.
The next events
"Today is a historic date for us - explained Rossi at the end of the meetings - We want to export the work that we have been carrying out for thirty years with a sense of responsibility and great commitment to environmental protection and the reduction of the impact of the activities range with recycling systems and circular economy. I am satisfied with today's meeting, which will be followed by others in the short term, and I am sure that we will be able to assert our position within the European Agency and to protect the activity of the many plants operating in Italy and throughout the Continent” (source: FITAV).
