The more we talk about hunting and hunting management, the closer we get to politics and possible votes for possible elections; the most varied groupings and political subjects begin to position themselves and take sides with majorities or minorities of individuals with the sole intent of grabbing votes.
Great is the attention on the part of the politicians towards a handful of votes, with promises on possible changes to the laws and / or regulations in place which, however, punctually every year these subjects, are capable of simply creating only chaos, capable even of closing in some Italian regions our passion. Reason ?? Total ignorance of the subject to be treated and protected, namely the Hunt.
Of course, this is not always the case, on the contrary, there are politicians who are and will still do a lot for hunting in recent years, protecting the category of hunters and the economic induced that revolves around it. Where there are capable and correct politicians, everything works fine and animal rights activists and hunters live together without further discomfort. Hunting in Italy is penalized, even though it is the hunters who, with their continuous voluntary contributions, are an active part of proper wildlife and forest management.
The hunters always voluntarily participate in fire prevention, with continuous cleaning of the woods, giving food to ungulates and other wild species during snowfalls or scorching heat, and we could spend hours describing all the praiseworthy voluntary activities performed. from hunters who certainly save plenty of money, local administrations in the management of the forest fauna heritage. I Animalists or environmentalists who do what I have never seen in the narrative, and then why the Mr. Council of State or the various regional TARs do nothing but give reason to absurd appeals, which would be enough to read the reasons of the same to understand that the the sole purpose of this appeal is to close the hunt, without even imagining the damage connected with this prohibition, see ungulates in inhabited centers.
To our great regret, we are fed up, and we are decreasing from year to year, however still many and if more united, no one will be able to put an end to a useful passion for the balance of the ecosystem and the correct reduction of damage to crops, every year for millions of euros that ungulates and other wild animals perpetrate on agriculture.
