One unitary purpose
The recognized regional hunting associations met the councilor for agriculture and hunting Alessio Mammi and the entire technical staff of his Department, with a single unitary purpose: to safeguard hunting in all its forms and to enhance hunting volunteering, without which balanced wildlife management would not be possible with the containment of species impacting agriculture and on the environment. The regional presidents of Federcaccia, Arcicaccia, Liberacaccia, Enalcaccia, Italcaccia and Anuu have focused their attention on the future 2023/24 Hunting Calendar with determination; the regional resolution "Dgr 2270_2022 of 19 December 2022" which significantly reduced hunting opportunities in January, did not satisfy the hunting world. It is necessary that hunters be guaranteed what is permitted by current legislation and in particular by Law 157/92.
The need for new encounters
The Assessor accepted the expressed need and shared the need to build periodic meeting moments with the hunting world, for the discussion of the topics which, from time to time, will have to be addressed. The first meeting will be organized shortly with the 2023/24 Hunting Calendar at the center of attention.
Hunting results
Other topics will then have to be addressed such as the need for a homogeneous and coherent behavior with the regional provisions of the STACP and the provincial police on the territory, Regulation 1 "Ungulates", the methods for organizing dog competitions in protected areas, a review of the rules for exercising self-defense and a feasible and effective activation of control plans. The Regional Hunting Associations evaluate the meeting positively and are certain that the work carried out in collaboration between the hunting world and the Region will lead to positive results for hunting, hunters and wildlife management, with a logical consequence of greater involvement and enhancement of hunting volunteering (source: FIDC).
