In San Benedetto del Tronto (AP) the volunteers of Enalcaccia collaborate to enforce the legislation on the protection of fauna and the environment.
The volunteers of Enalcaccia from the province of Ascoli Piceno will collaborate with the Municipal Police of San Benedetto del Tronto mainly in the early hours of the morning and after 20 to enforce the legislation for the protection of fauna and the environment.
Also this year the Municipality of San Benedetto and Enlcaccia of the province of Ascoli Piceno have signed an agreement that will allow the volunteers of the hunting association, all in possession of the qualification of voluntary zoophile security guards, to support the activities of the Municipal Police. to enforce the rules contained in the regulation of the protection and welfare of animals and that for the green.
The voluntary guards will therefore have the competence to carry out activities of prevention and, if necessary, of repression (the title of security guard allows in fact to raise penalties) in the field of protection of the green city heritage and the correct keeping of animals, both as regards the removal of excrement in the street and to ensure that animals are kept according to the rules and are not subjected to mistreatment.
It is important to underline that the zoophile guards of Enalcaccia, who will act in pairs and will wear uniforms or jackets with special insignia, as well as a tool for reading the microchip that each dog must be equipped with, will operate mainly during the hours in which the Municipal Police is not in service, i.e. early in the morning and after 20pm.
The service will be carried out, as mentioned, on a voluntary basis: the Municipality will provide Enalcaccia with a reimbursement for the expenses incurred for the execution of the service (insurance, fuel, etc.) equal to 1.680 euros for approximately 364 hours of work per year.
