La provincial section of Perugia di Enalcaccia communicated the complete program of the Diana Trophy 2016, provincial championship of practical hunting with killing of the wild. The tests foreseen in this case are three. The first will be that of the Dog Training Area (ZAC) Marshes (fraction of the municipality of Gubbio), canine competition organized by the section of Costano for the 23 and 24 April. The second test has instead both the date and the exact place still uncertain and to be designated, but the organization of the event will certainly be the responsibility of the Perugia section of the association. In the end, the third and final test will take place on the weekend of 28 and 29 May in the ZAC Ponte di Ferro, with the organization managed by the Passage section of Bettona-Bastia Umbra.
Registrations will take place at the respective competition fields, while for what concerns the awards, will be reserved for the competitors of the four categories in the race, that means "English", "Continental", "Search" and "Hunters". This provincial championship is valid for qualification for the important semifinal of the Enalcaccia National Championship, specifically the grouping for the regions of Center of Italy. The semifinal will be reached by the top 15 in the "English" category, the first 10 in the "Continental" category and the first 15 in the "Search dogs" category.
Furthermore, access to the final ranking will only be possible in the hypothesis of participation in at least two of the three scheduled races. The regulation in force will remain the one established by Enalcaccia for the previous editions of the Diana Trophy. Particularly, the final ranking of dog trials is drawn up by adding up the scores to scale from 15 to 1 ("English" and "Search" categories) e to climb from 10 down ("Continental" and "Cacciatori"). The winner of each single category will have the opportunity to participate in the semi-final of the Diana Trophy in Central Italy. The results of the 2015 edition were interesting and the result of hard-fought competitions.
In the "English" category the conductor came first Franco Cristofani with Future, capable of totaling 28 points, thirteen more than the second classified dog. In the "Continental" category there were instead six overall participations, so all the dogs managed to access the semifinal of the Enalcaccia National Championship: the first and second place went to Marcello Fortini, conductor of Messiè (20 points) and Bacchus (19 points). Finally, the final classification of the "Search dogs" category deserves a mention. In this case he excelled among the 20 participants Lola, conducted by Massimo Longetti and able to score 34 points, four more than the second hunting dog in the standings. Equally flattering and valuable results are expected for the new edition.
