THESingle Atc of Brescia announces that, having not reached 80% of the Withdrawal Plan envisaged as per decree 12542 of 04/09/2018, the hare hunt is closed from 20 November. The hare hunting season for the brescian hounds and for all those who in various ways love hare hunting and will soon open the season of catching and restocking. In fact, they will end in November and in the first days of December i censuses in the catch areas and in the red areas to plan the activity of capturing hares to be re-entered, then enter the free territory.
As in previous years we will give news of the catch planning because we believe that they are an important management moment but also of cohesion between hunters. Despite the commissioner of the ATC these activities have continued thanks to the indications of the Commissioner Brumana who is managing the normal administration of the ATC; his work was fundamental because there was the risk of missing a year of catches and therefore of repopulation with quality animals and of sure acclimatization. The studies promoted by Federcaccia Lombardia in 16 repopulation and capture areas have in fact highlighted that the subjects most resistant to immissions are those of local capture. They are less stressed and more accustomed to the dense interweaving of road networks that characterize our province, compared, for example, to the excellent breeders of foreign origin. In recent years there had been a significant increase in percentage terms of the hares captured in the Province of Brescia and our hope is that this trend will continue.
Federcaccia sent a note to the Regional Councilorship for Agriculture and Hunting in which he asked if, with an appropriate modification of the regional legislation, the tasks of Atc and Ca could also be included that of vigilance within the restocking and capture areas only in consideration of the fact that the scarcity of the staff of the Provincial Police does not allow a continuous and close presence of the agents. Unfortunately, however, the Milan Offices responded negatively as the supervisory tasks are a prerogative of the police forces and bodies of voluntary agents well specified by national legislation.
