Il Environmental Connected it was recently approved, but we will have to wait a few more days for the main changes introduced to come into force. The discourse is also and above all valid for the hunting field, given that article 7 of this text has partially modified Law 157 of 1992 (“Rules for the protection of homeothermic wildlife and for hunting”). From the next 2 February these same changes will be officially in force, so it is worth understanding what it is: the new provisions concern, as mentioned by Federcaccia, wild boars, hunting notwithstanding the starling, otters and fixed stalking.
First of all, the placing of wild boars throughout the Italian territory is prohibited, with the exception of the wildlife-hunting farms and those active in the agritourism-hunting sector which can boast an adequate fence. Violation of this prohibition entails the sanction provided for by the 1992 Law (up to 4 million lire). Furthermore, it is also forbidden to forage wild boars, while foraging that is aimed at control activities has no constraint: the violation involves the same type of fine that has just been explained.
Within six months of the law coming into force, the regions and autonomous provinces of Trento and Bolzano are obliged to adapt the wildlife-hunting plans provided for by article 10 of the 1992 law, identifying at the same time the areas in which it is forbidden to breed and enter wild boars, in relation to the presence or contiguity with protected natural areas or with areas characterized by vulnerable agricultural productions. All 'article 19-bis Another paragraph has been added: when authorizations are issued for the withdrawal of the transfer, the withdrawal itself is allowed in the vicinity of the scattered productive vegetational nuclei and provided that it is aimed at the protection of specific regional crops.
THEArticle 2 ("Object of protection") will have a new paragraph which provides for the exclusion of moles, rats, mice, otters and voles from the law. However, control or eradication interventions are possible. Another modification is that of Article 5 ("Hunting exercise from fixed posting and live calls"): after paragraph 3, another two have been added, 3-bis and 3-ter. Paragraph 3-bis establishes that the authorization is the qualifying title for arranging the site and installing the stalking functional to the activity, as long as they do not permanently change the state of the places, are precarious, made of wood or other materials light or traditional of the area, or with iron structures. Paragraph 3-ter, on the other hand, again concerns Trento and Bolzano and the definition of their rules on stalking.
