A few days to the event
Only a few days left and then from Saturday 11 to Monday 13 February Verona with its Fiera spaces will welcome the second edition of EOS (European Outdoor Show), the fair dedicated in particular to hunting and fishing and more generally to all outdoor activities. Obviously, the Italian Hunting Federation will also be present with its own large exhibition space located in Pavilion 12, Stand C 300, open not only to its members – massively present as always thanks also to the numerous coaches organized by the territorial sections to which the National offers free admission – but to all hunters and to those who wish to visit us.
Experts available
The national president Massimo Buconi, the members of the Presidency Council, together with national and provincial managers, Michele Sorrenti, Michele Bottazzo and Daniel Tramontana of the Studies and Research Office, the national secretariat and the volunteers of the Federation coordinated by the Provincial of Verona, will three days at your disposal to exchange opinions and discuss current events in the hunting sector, give information on activities and initiatives, training courses, sporting activities, services, hunting insurance coverage – and more – offered to members. Representatives of ACMA, the sectoral sector of aquatic migratory hunters, of UNCZA, the historic sectoral sector dedicated to the mountains, and of AICA, the archer hunters, are also waiting for you inside the Federcaccia stand, to give you information on activities, initiatives and maybe get a membership to share the commitment to these traditional forms of hunting.
Falconry and more
As always, absolutely not to be missed is the space dedicated to falconry, where the falconers of the UNCF-Unione Nazionale Cacciatori Falconieri will be present with their birds of prey, ready to answer all questions about these magnificent animals and their use, illustrating the peculiarities of this discipline , a true form of art, which has its origins and values in the mists of time. The National Hunters Coordination and the Young Hunters Group Coordination were present, who with their enthusiasm and cheerfulness will explain their ideas and projects to those interested, but will also act as the soul of the event.
The wolf problem
In fact, organized by the Coordination of the Huntresses, on Saturday 11 at 14,30 pm in the Arena di Eos space, the conference "Wolf: resource or problem?" will be held, in which the national president Massimo Buconi will participate; Isabella Villa, head of the Hunters Coordination, who on the occasion will illustrate the census promoted to collect more precise data on wolf depredations on dogs to be presented to the Ministry of the Environment; Giorgia Romeo, FIdC National Consultant, who will talk about the number of wolves present in our country and Paolo Ciucci, professor of zoology at the La Sapienza University of Rome, who will talk about the phenomenon of hybridization between wolf and dog. Moderating the interventions will be Viviana Bertocchi, a well-known sector journalist and authoritative signature of the magazines "Caccia Magazine" and "Woodcocks what a passion".
Rich program of meetings
For their part, the hunters of the Youth Coordination have put a rich program of highly interesting thematic meetings on their agenda. It begins on Saturday at 12.00 with "The hunter of the future and the need for training". Guest Prof. Marco Olivi, Professor of administrative law at the University "Cà Foscari" of Venice and Director of the Master in Administration and Management of Wild Fauna. Also on Saturday we will talk about "Skeet shooting and hunting: two parallel realities" with the President of FITAV and ISSF Luciano Rossi and the Federal Councilor Fabrizio Forti. On Sunday 12 at 12.00 the Youth Coordination of Federcaccia meets ENCI, discussing with the President Dino Muto to address the theme "The dog and the hunter".
Other interesting ideas
At the Federcaccia stand it will then be possible to sign the big petition #FirmaPerLaCaccia, which involves all European hunters' associations in asking the EU institutions to work alongside hunters and not against them. The hunting and conservation of birds and small game, the restoration of habitats, the management of large carnivores, hunting culture, our motivation to preserve the environment, everything our passion represents in Europe, is at risk due to of some short-sighted European policies going in the wrong direction. But you can change and a signature is enough. Also at the stand desks it will be possible to fill in the aforementioned questionnaire prepared by the Coordination of the Federcacciatrici on wolf depredations. Finally, Greentime, a publishing house specializing in publications dedicated to hunting, shooting and archery, will also be available at the stand to purchase and book books and subscriptions.
