Hunting in society
The appointment is for Saturday 8th February in Verona at Eos Show – the most anticipated trade fair event for enthusiasts from all over Italy – in the Sala Galleria dei Signori. It is there that from 9.30:XNUMX the meeting “Game meat for healthy eating of people. Education, promotion, support of a good image of hunting in society” is scheduled, or also, for the international friends present in large numbers, “Game meat as the basis of healthy eating of people. Education, promotion, support of good image of hunting in the public society” organized by the FIdC National Coordination of Hunters as part of the VII WASH meeting (Women and sustainable hunting – Donne e caccia sostenibile) for the first time in Italy.
The program
The thanks of the head of the Coordination, Isabella Villa, and of the vice president of Artemis (the women's group that heads the CIC, the International Council for Hunting and Conservation of Nature)) Sona Chovanova Supekova, will be followed by greetings from the presidents of FIdC, Massimo Buconi, of Eos, Patrizio Carotta, and of Fondazione Una, Maurizio Zipponi. The speeches will be opened by Renata Briano, President of the Scientific Committee of Fondazione Una, who will illustrate the work of the Foundation on the nutritional values of wild game meat.
Antibiotics in meat
This will be followed by Marina Costa from the Ministry of Health, who will focus on the risks deriving from the possible presence of antibiotics in farmed meats that risk generating resistance to them especially in children. Then Matej Hudec, FAO ambassador, Moira Tidball from Cornell University (USA), and Lisa Ivy (South Africa). The proceedings will be closed by Sona Chovanova Supekova. A light lunch based on game offered by Fondazione Una will follow. The afternoon will be dedicated to visiting EOS SHOW. The Wash meeting (which will be held from 6 to 9 February) will be attended by female hunters from all over Europe, the USA and South Africa (FIdC National Coordination of Hunters).
