Illustrious presences
There is just over a week left until EOS – European outdoor show '25, from 8 to 10 February. There are 4 pavilions (9-10-11-12) at Veronafiere dedicated to passions: hunting, sport shooting, fishing, boating and the outdoors. More than 400 companies for around 700 brands represented. EOS show, in its fourth edition, is the largest ever. And there is everything related to the sectors of interest. At the inauguration, on Saturday 8 February at 13 pm, there will be the Italian shooters who won medals at Paris 2024: Diana Bacosi and Gabriele Rossetti gold in Mixed Skeet, Silvana Stanco silver in Trap, Federico Nilo Maldini and Paolo Monna, silver and bronze in P10, Davide Franceschetti, bronze P4 in Free Pistol caliber .22 SH1. The president of FITAV and ISSF Luciano Rossi and the president of UITS, Costantino Vespasiano will also be there. Also present at the ribbon cutting was Cristiano Corazzari, Veneto Region Councilor for Hunting and Fishing. Even in the pavilions, there will be a lot of space for sport: there will be the possibility of trying out weapons inside pavilion 10 thanks to the Italian Shooting Union that will manage the large shooting line set up for its national competitions. Then interactive areas organized by the Italian Dynamic Shooting Federation and FIDASC with Agility dog and Paintball. An interactive area dedicated to archery and one to slingshots will also be added.
The good image of hunting
The central event in the rich programme of EOS Show 2025 will be the International Meeting WaSH (Women and sustainable Hunting), for the first time in Italy, organized by the National Coordination of Female Hunters of the Italian Hunting Federation. The conference “Game meat as a basis for healthy eating for people – Education, promotion, support of a good image of hunting in society” is scheduled for Saturday 8 February. Participants come from the United States, South Africa, Finland, Portugal and Eastern Europe. Representatives of the Ministry of Health and FAO will also be present. EOS show is the main sponsor of the event. The area dedicated to game food (EOS Arena, pavilion 10 stand A300) which was very successful in 2024 will be back, in partnership with the UNA Foundation which is celebrating its 10th anniversary, then many other events will color the EOS program: assemblies and conferences of CIC, Federcaccia, ACV, Enalcaccia, ungulate exhibitions and various demonstrations, as well as workshops organized by the magazine Armi e Tiro. Also to be celebrated are the 50 years of Con ArmI, the association that brings together 200 manufacturers of weapons and weapon accessories, armories, service companies and related companies. Fly fishing at its best in the very large pavilion 9. In the name of innovation, sport, technology, tourism, craftsmanship and culture. At EOS show '25 the most popular manufacturing and distribution companies will be present, with their latest innovations, some of which are being released on the market for the first time. And then there is the nautical sector with on-board electronics and all the essential equipment, travel agencies and tourist destinations.
First time
Always so much experience. MLF-Major league fishing Italy will present the 2025 sports calendar with Jimmy Ashlock, recent world champion in pairs of Bass fishing in Bolsena (VT). MLF Italy has planned various precision casting activities aimed at young people. Also the FIPSAS-Italian Federation of Sport Fishing and Underwater Activities will "field" a series of activities dedicated to kids. And also the SIM-Italian School of Fly Fishing will organize, in the largest of the two casting pools at the fair, the usual mini courses in TS casting and construction of artificial baits. Materials and techniques to bring young people closer, but also to offer new ideas to more experienced fishermen. EOS Show '25 will experiment for the first time in Italy a custom fly fishing area, dedicated to craftsmen who build rods, baits, lines, landing nets and other accessories in fine materials and with refined workmanship.
Many events and exhibitors
This alongside the consolidated Italian Fly Tyers show, an exhibition that brings together 45 European manufacturers of artificial lures who will illustrate their art "live", on their tables. And the area reserved for the IBRA-Italian bamboo rodmakers association, with activities and courses to spread the art of building bamboo rods for fly fishing. Many events, many exhibitors and many visitors are expected, so the organization has thought especially of them: improved internal traffic, more rational spaces and, above all, a second entrance, called San Zeno, on Viale del Lavoro, next to the Palaexpo of Veronafiere, in addition to the traditional one, called Re Teodorico, on Via dell'Industria (Source EOS PRESS OFFICE).
