Preventive sentencing
Defense, the benefit of the doubt and the presumption of innocence until the final degree of judgment are civil rights that are not denied to anyone. Not even to a gentleman like Mr. Giovanni Brusca who, with the modest expense of 21 years in prison and four years of probation, has "paid" his dues to justice for the trifle of over 150 murders, whether committed or commissioned. Instead, for hunters - who are among the most upright, healthy and controlled citizens - there are no rights, and after over thirty years of harassment, insults and increasingly punitive and unjust rules, if compared to the rules in force in other EU countries, there is only preventive condemnation by "press furore", on the basis of what is a real trial of intentions.
A crude and indiscriminate attack
Yes, Italian justice - even the crude and hysterical one of blogs and social media - is strangely two-faced, and a very simple preliminary draft was more than enough to unleash a riotous row (not to be confused with the melody of the dog kennel) bordering on good taste and reality. And if, faced with such an attack, as massive and orchestrated as it is crude and indifferent, some citizen-hunters dared to attempt that famous defense that is not denied even to the most bloodthirsty criminals, all hell broke loose!! The information troops historically and politically close to animalist ideology have massacred the keyboards of their computers and churned out tons of paper containing the usual avalanche of trite and hackneyed clichés and lies. All of this, expertly seasoned with adjectives that are at the very least alarmist if not downright terrorist, capable of arousing indignation among the less prepared readers.
The most false and damaging accusation
In previous interventions, Libera Caccia has dismantled many of these hallucinatory arguments, arousing the rancorous indignation of some journalists who believe themselves to be the sole custodians of the truth. To sum up, accusations have been sent back to the sender about: distortion of law 157/92; “shooter law”; hunting all year round; hunting in the Wild West; use of space weapons; ridiculous increase in huntable species; rifles (obviously loaded) hanging under beach umbrellas among people sunbathing or playing beach tennis; hunting and dog competitions in the middle of the night. But our “sacrosanct defense” continues and this time we want to stigmatize what is perhaps the most false and damaging accusation, that is, the alleged risks that biodiversity would run.
The real fault
Here, those who indulge in such omens not only clearly demonstrate their total ignorance but also ally themselves with those who talk so much about biodiversity but then helplessly witness its destruction by too many opportunistic species (crows, foxes, wild boars, etc.) and by equally numerous and harmful alien species (coypu, sacred ibis, grey squirrels, not to mention marine species. The real fault lies with those who persist, ideologically and not scientifically, in not taking into consideration the famous term "management", allowing the so-called protected areas - especially urban and suburban ones - to continue to represent real free zones where such species reign supreme, sowing death and destruction. But time is a gentleman and such an ideological frenzy will end up demonstrating all its real danger, putting the "ultra-orthodox manipulators" in front of their environmental responsibilities (THE PRESIDENT Paolo Sparvoli).
