The second and last day of Exporiva Hunting Fishing Environment opened with the unique images offered by the "Rise Fly Fishing Film Festival" and the first video contest "Tell Me Fishing", screened the night before in Sala 1000 at the Palazzo dei Congressi in Riva del Garda. The images of the Festival made the spectators travel from New Zealand to Argentina, from the United States to Europe, from Costa Rica to Bolivia. The winner of the Tell Me Fishing amateur competition awarded to the German Jonas Borinski with “Luke” was also awarded in the evening; 3 minute video of very high quality.
Since the early hours of Sunday, the Baltera Exhibition Center area has been literally stormed. Exhausted parking spaces in the available parking lots and queues on the access road from the city center. “We owe it to the enormous amount of work carried out by the volunteers of all the associations present - declared the director of Riva del Garda Fierecongressi Giovanni Laezza - which are the real“ revolution ”of this event.
Arrived four / five days before the official opening, aware that the event would be of great importance, the volunteers began to place their stands, to trace the guidelines, to bring material and to give warmth and color to the exhibition center. Without them the Fair would not have succeeded. The origins of the over 14.000 visitors have significantly expanded, with a strong increase from regions of central and northern Italy such as Tuscany, Marche and Liguria, which are added to the many visitors from Trentino and Alto Atesini, has certainly paid off the effort we have put in place but , also and above all, what the volunteers have done. The staff of Riva Fiere e Congressi is already at work to plan the ten edition that we want to become a highly attractive appointment ".
A success with enthusiasts also for the extraordinary edition of the exhibition of book exchange and hunting collecting organized by the Jesolo Museum and for the two round tables in the program. For everyone, at lunchtime, the inevitable Biergarten, set up in Pavilion C3 where, thanks to the appointment with the Conductor's Festival, you could taste the traditional gastronomy that often accompanies hunting and fishing trips.
Sunday was also the day of the 32nd National Dog Show in Riva del Garda, with over 400 specimens of all breeds present for the beauty and agility competitions, but also that of the IFTA (Italian Fly Tiers Association) masters, manufacturers of fly lures. artificial which, in the free workshops, involved many children. The novelty of this edition, which met with great appreciation, were the animals of the Educational Farm with the donkeys Raglio and Pasqualina, authentic “stars” of the fair. The recreational activities proposed by the Trentine Hunters Group and the trophy exhibition organized by the Trentino Hunters Association with over 1.200 trophies of the 2013 hunting season are always crowded.
In the pavilions the notes of the groups of horn players echoed for two days who, together with engravers, sculptors and naturalist painters, contributed to add hunting folklore to the fair. The Police Headquarters, present as every year with an exhibition space, organized safety demonstrations with weapons while the stand set up by the volunteers of the Shooting Sections recorded record numbers with almost 800 people who tried their hand at shooting. The fair proved to be a success thanks to the perfect mix of commercial proposals, folklore, collateral initiatives, cultural events and the numerous collaborations between associations, the true spirit of everything that the Exhibition Center has put on display.
The closing line is entrusted to the president Pellegrini who declares: “Our company, in 2014, closed the third fair with exhibitors and visitors in clear growth. This is certainly one of the many signs of economic recovery but also the sign that our company has brilliantly overcome the difficult two-year period 2012-2013. We are already working on some new exhibitions for the next two years ”. I think that the company can look serenely to its future thanks, and I am referring in particular to ExpoRiva Caccia Pesca Ambiente, to the contribution of the institutions, sponsors and the precious world of volunteering ”.
