Federcaccia Arezzo maintains a firm position on the interventions for the containment of the wild boar species envisaged by the Provincial Administration.
The Provincial Council of Arezzo of Federcaccia, in the meeting of last November 22, unanimously reaffirmed the consent to the reasons already formalized by the FIdC to the President of the Province of Arezzo with note no. 41 of July 29, 2013 relating to the containment interventions of the wild boar species, in response to the damage question. This campaign against wild boar and hunting for the same is absolutely no longer tolerable, as it had never occurred in past years, when the slaughtering involved thousands of animals; in the current hunting season we are at 50% of the killing carried out in the past seasons by the same teams operating in our Province. Why don't we start to look more carefully at the management of the other ungulates present in the territory before placing the entire responsibility for the damage on the wild boars?
The approval of the agreement between the Province and the farmers cannot be a "bargaining chip" for the reconstitution of the ATC, for which the only equal aspect is the component of the Committees and certainly not the economic contribution for the preparation of the budget. Praf provides a mechanism known for its brevity: interventions in 48 hours; and in this regard we once again formalize our willingness to reduce this time frame to 24 hours, but we are absolutely not available to compromise on the identification of the teams as the only interlocutor for the management of this ungulate in order not to run the risk of deconstructing the consolidated system which has always distinguished the commitment expressed by the same, with the commendable seriousness and ability to intervene.
