It is not a habit of Federcaccia Brescia neither ride nor stir up controversy. However, we believe that sometimes, thanks to the discussions that inevitably arise, it is appropriate underline some fixed points of our thinking. The sections of Tignale and Tremosine of a hunting association, which obviously is not Federcaccia, with a public letter sent to various institutional representatives, wanted to "express dismay and indignation" for the results of a vote that took place during the annual meeting of the Alpine area C8results that obviously did not satisfy them.
Any opinion, if correctly expressed, is obviously legitimate; the letter, however, was also an opportunity to throw untrue accusations, of unfounded content, in relation to a form of hunting, specifically hunting with followed dogs. For the writers of the letter, the so-defined “brescian hound system” is the main architect of the annual practice of three hundred and sixty-degree poaching activities especially to the detriment of roe deer but also of deer ". This concept was then argued in the rest of the document but the reasoning we would like to make is another. How can the hunting world have a future if this way of thinking still persists today?
Where are the data of the fines that would reveal this emergency? How do we respond to the request for greater unity in the hunting world, a request always made with insistence by the leaders of the hunting association to which these hunters of Tremosine and Tignale are associated? But above all, why are the results of votes legitimately carried out not respected, in full compliance with the regulations? You don't need to commute from one hunting association to another with the intent of listening to your theses, you need the humility to try to dialogue. The truth is always in the middle and certainly there are many things to improve, both in the management of hunting with followed dogs but also in selection hunting. Hunting ethics must be pursued by talking and discussing, not offending and trying to erase those who don't think like you.
This irresponsible behavior would be the definitive end of hunting. Always wanting to teach others what your form of hunting is the best, the most beautiful, the most ethical and the most sustainable and that all the others must be regulated, modified and at worst eliminated is a way of thinking that does not belong to Federcaccia. We defend every form of hunting, from the one that has few admirers to the one that has the most. Many want to moralize Federcaccia, many want to explain what we have to do and what we have to say: pity that we do and talk, every day in the management committees of Atc and Alpine Districts, elected by the hunting members without having to look for other acronyms that elect us. Let's stop with these quarrels of the country, coming moreover from a District that in the last hunting season has seen 230 wild boars taken from the selecontrollers and more than 500 from the teams.
Because the hunters of the teams of I strapped her must they always be criminalized? Do their dogs bother? Does their cohesion among friends generate envy? Is it possible that they should always be the scapegoat for anything that doesn't work? Is the persecution to which they are subjected by Ispra not enough? Federcaccia's position is known to all but we take the opportunity to repeat it: Wild boar selection hunting and boar hunt hunting must coexist and must find ways to do it in the best possible way. As well as the selection hunting to the other ungulates must be shared. We don't want to hear about selfishness!
Enough, you are fed up with selfishness! We are already few, all we need is that we kill each other for reasons of interest and our end will not only be certain, but guaranteed! Courage is not to write an offensive letter but it is to find the time and place to meet and clarify. This is a gesture of courage! Everything else does not belong to us. Federcaccia is the only recognized hunting association that contributed to the construction of the monument to Maestro Mario Quadri, founder of the Proceed, which was inaugurated yesterday in Bassano Bresciano for the simple fact that hunting with a follow-up dog is a traditional hunt for us.
