A Pontevico a rifle shot was fired which wounded a hunter in the leg and fortunately the tragedy was touched upon. According to the hunting association, hunting safety must not be optional, but the fundamental premise of every day. The weapon must be given the utmost attention and safety can only be the "obsession" of every hunter, given that it takes nothing to turn a beautiful day into a disgrace. The provincial section also stressed the need for awareness of having a weapon in hand.
Rifles must be unloaded if close to houses, roads and cars, otherwise you risk accidents. Inattention is just around the corner and we must never think that in so many years of hunting nothing has ever happened. Caution is never too much, as i know well mountain hunters, which load the weapon only when the prey has been identified and killing can be attempted.
