Finally it begins! Sunday 19 September is the general opening of the hunting in Lombardy. This will be followed by openings in zone A in the Alpine Districts and wild boar hunting in pursuit, but for the majority of hunters the opening is that of the third Sunday of September. Once the Gussago Fair has been archived with a comforting public success, from Sunday we will be able to dedicate our time, on the allowed days and times, to our passion. The calendar was presented by the Lombardy Region on 2 August while the Reductive Calendar should be published during the week by decree of the Manager, ie the period and time limitations daily and annual game bag for those species that were already subject to limitations in recent years.
We are talking about lark, quail, lapwing, dove, ptarmigan and pochard; we do not know if other species will be included. It will then be published at a later time the decree for supplementary days from fixed shed, therefore we will know later if one or two supplementary days will be granted even if it would be difficult for us to understand a limitation from Ispra of only one day, given the constant decline in hunters and therefore also in the sheds. As we have mentioned several times this year, the Region for the drafting of the calendar it did not refer to the regional law nr. 17 of 2004 but, obtorto neck, adopted the provision with a resolution of the council, that is with an administrative act.
This choice was made obligatory after various rulings by the courts, not least that of the TAR last October. So if on the one hand we comply with the provisions of the judges of the various courts, at the same time we potentially run the risk of some recourse to the administrative courts by the usual animal rights acronyms for alleged irregularities. From our point of view, we can only express satisfaction with the work done on this point by the Lombardy region: the commissioner rolfi and its Offices, especially the new Manager, have tried to build serious measures in line with current legislation: it goes without saying that anyone can appeal to any administrative act, we trust in the professionalism and impartiality of the judges.
Also in the Region, work is underway to recalculate the boundaries of the Districts for hunting rock partridge in the light of the data provided by the Districts. Sure, some are emerging "Oddities", but they are not detrimental to the start of the hunting season. To all our members and all hunters who read us we would like to recommend great attention to safety, we remind you of the obligation for those who carry out the rambling hunt of a high visibility garment, and the total respect of agricultural crops. In this way we will be able to enjoy a new extraordinary opening. And to the new hunters a good luck from all of us. (Federcaccia Brescia - Cacciapensieri)
