"The resolution that the Puglia region approved today in practice has adjusted the hunting calendar to the opinion ISPRA with limitations on the closing dates of some species, including hare, pheasant, woodcock and turdidae. I'm glad for the chance for i Apulian hunters to go back to exercising their passion pending the discussion of the appeal before the Council of State, but I totally disagree with the resolution and what it implies or, in fact, the correctness of the Institute's reasons. What politics has given us today is a poison filled chocolate.
Puglia is one of those regions where Federcaccia and its technical offices have collected more data relating to fauna, in particular migratory and those ISPRA positions are denied by the facts. Evidently 'politics' prevailed over science, ideology over studies and research! It's a bad day and a bad sign, but our opponents know that we have no intention of giving up and accept this state of affairs ". These are the words of the national president Federcaccia Massimo Buconi on the nothing short of incredible decision of the Apulian council, which has in fact denied itself and threw away the result reported before the TAR just a few days ago, also putting the next meeting at the CdS at risk.
"I followed what happened practically live thanks to the presence in the Region of the Presidential Councilor Mario Basile and the other Apulian leaders starting this morning - adds Buconi - I can only agree with him when he says that in fact the Region has sold off the hunters and hunters to the environmentalist world, especially because they transpose the ISPRA opinion as if it were binding it means going back ten years and compromising the future hunting not only in Puglia but in the rest of Italy.
Laughable is the justification that this resolution, thus made, serves to make the Apulian colleagues go hunting. The latest decree of Council of State clarified that the cancellation of the hunting calendar concerns only the part subject to judgment, as was also clarified by the lawyers Bruni and Orlandini who assist us in this cause. It is clear that today's resolution is a political act against the hunting world and in favor of the environmental world. But it will not be easy to silence our reasons ”- concluded the national president Federcaccia.
It is yet another proof that the current policy is shamefully rowing against us hunters. Xò, no one has the courage to close the hunt (xké Money is convenient for everyone). Let's just hope you vote soon. Then they will realize what hunters and their families and friends can do.
