Luciano Monks, provincial president of the Federcaccia of Grosseto has published a note to talk about thestart of the boar hunt and increasingly overheated spirits on this subject. Opinions are very distant, there are people in favor of slaughtering, but also those who speak of an ethical problem and who invents laws and regulations for eradication. According to the president, however, the only certainty at the moment is represented by the absence of results and the waste of many resources.
According to this statement, it has been forgotten how the hunters had warned of the modest results of the Objective Law, suggesting other solutions and taking inspiration from the results of the dedicated areas. Monaci pointed out that in our country it is difficult to focus on the problem, to sit around a table and find a valid solution.
Furthermore, the wild boar and its problems would serve to cover larger interests that could transform the Tuscan territory into a plastered and unmanageable oasis. The request is that of a more dialogue and to offer hunters the opportunity to express themselves and collaborate. The next 21 July at 21 there will be a public meeting in Grosseto to discuss all these problems and "give a change to hunting in Tuscany".
