Official inauguration
With the traditional cutting of the ribbon, in a simple but no less heartfelt ceremony, Federcaccia officially opened the doors of the renovated national headquarters in Rome. To testify attention and closeness, together with the national President Massimo Buconi, the Minister of Agriculture, Food Sovereignty and Forestry Francesco Lollobrigida spoke to the Presidential Council and numerous managers of what is the oldest and most representative hunting association in our country, accompanied by the Undersecretary, sen. Patrick La Pietra. With them also the Undersecretary for the Environment with responsibility for hunting Sen. Claudio Barbaro.
Passion for hunting
“I congratulate the choice of president Massimo Buconi and the ruling class of the Federcaccia to have named their discussion room after Giacomo Puccini, an authoritative personality in Italian history who also had the quality of having a passion for hunting. We live in a world that must be secular towards every activity that individuals intend to carry out. The free man can choose whether to do or not do something. Not everyone loves hunting, not everyone perceives it as a positive fact but everyone thinks that hunters are free to practice it according to the rules and laws of the State", said the Minister of Agriculture, Food Sovereignty and Forestry, Francesco Lollobrigida . “As a Government we made choices when we said that man is a bio regulator. It is an important leap in quality to say that those who hunt or are farmers contribute to improving nature. Hunting activity is legitimate. Hunters are citizens who contribute economically to repopulation activities and voluntarily to bio-regulation activities".
The words of the Hon. The stone
“It is with real pleasure, and I thank you for the invitation extended to me, that I took part in this moment of legitimate satisfaction for your Federation” declared the Undersecretary for Agriculture Patrizio Giacomo La Pietra. “My contacts are constant with President Buconi and with your structures throughout the country for the many issues related to agriculture and territory for which hunters play an irreplaceable role. A constructive discussion based on mutual respect is the basis on which institutions and citizens must work together for the common good and I am pleased to have found in Federcaccia and the hunters who represent a serious and credible interlocutor" concluded the Undersecretary. “Like the Minister and the colleague who preceded me, I too can only underline the mutual collaborative relationships that exist between my Offices and the hunting world and with the Federation in particular. Attention towards hunting and those who practice it in compliance with the rules and legislation of the State is not and cannot be, as some accuse it of partisanship, but a dutiful rejection of dogmas and application of a secularism which must be typical of the Institutions ” declared Senator Claudio Barbaro, Undersecretary for the Environment with responsibility for hunting.
The emotion of President Buconi
“I thank the Minister and the undersecretaries in particular, but all the friends who came to share this day with us. I am truly happy and even a little moved by this particular circumstance – declared President Buconi – and even more satisfied to have given the Federation a headquarters which is not only representative, but fully responds to the needs of a modern association, to moving with the times and increasingly committed alongside hunters and institutions in all aspects related to the management of fauna, environment and territory". “Large, efficient and rational spaces host all the operational sectors of the Federation - from the Studies and Research Office, the flagship of our Association, to the Legal Office, Membership and the National Secretariat, an irreplaceable interface with our structures at every level and with members - they are now able to see their commitment to the service of hunting put to even greater use" continued the President of Federcaccia.
The memory of Puccini
