In fact, as the Italian Wilderness Association (Aiw) clearly writes, “the contiguous area is a legal trap and is in fact an extension of the National Park”. The association denounces the umpteenth pseudo-environmentalist abuse of the rights of the rural actors, starting with farmers, residents and hunters. The current law, in fact, provides that a contiguous area can be established, that is to say an area in which the constraints falling within the National Park extend, with the same Park authority delegated to manage the environment and fauna. But the Pnalm already has a so-called "External Protection Zone" historically recognized even if never legally established, as it does not have a regional law and the consent of the municipalities concerned.
In short, a real stretch, not to mention an offense, which has persisted since the XNUMXs. And that today is likely to repeat itself in the municipalities of Alvito, Campoli Appennino, Pescosolido, Picinisco, San Biagio Saracinisco, San Donato Val di Comino, Settefrati and Vallerotonda. Eight territories of which half, fortunately and out of common sense, has already approved the precautionary resolution Wilderness, which speaks of the autonomous will to protect its environmental heritage without the need to establish new protected areas or to expand existing ones. In addition, the law provides that in the case of National Parks that extend across multiple regions, the contiguous area should be established "in agreement with the other regions". That is, first the three Regions Lazio, Abruzzo and Molise must agree on the overall boundaries that the area must have, and only after the individual Regions can decide the areas of their competence, which did not happen in any of the three Regions affected by the Park.
And again: why is the contiguous area stubbornly wondering only for the Abruzzo National Park, and not for the other Parks as well? Because, in short, someone cares so much expand an already immense protected area including eight new municipalities? Why further limit human activity such as mining, agriculture and hunting, leaving the management directly to the Park? Instead of wondering why, one hundred years after its establishment, the Abruzzo National Park is still "hungry" for the territory even though it does not yet have undisputed borders, President Zingaretti has preferred to renounce the proper management of the environment in Lazio, “Entrusted” - so to speak - to the “pasionaria” grillina Lombardi, well known for her uncompromising positions towards everything that does not bow to her anti-hideous and anti-naturalism creed.
All this Federcaccia Lazio cannot tolerate it and, therefore, renews its appeal to the residents of the municipalities concerned to exert pressure on their respective local administrators. It is certainly not the metropolitan lounge subculture that can teach the preservation of the territory, fauna and biodiversity to those who have always lived and respected nature.
