Federcaccia Lazio on Hunting Calendar 2014-15, “Umpteenth senseless limitations”, if the Region does not provide certain and immediate answers, the Hunters will take to the streets.
Here we go again. Also this year the Lazio Region first announces a calendar and then offers us another one, welcoming - it is not clear why - the presumed unquestionable limitations of Ispra. Although the jurisprudence speaks differently - see the various rulings of the TAR - the indications of the Higher Institute for Environmental Protection and Research are perceived by the Lazio Region as indisputable dogmas. And so, while the councilor this year considered it appropriate to hear the opinion of the hunting world in a single meeting that lasted just two hours - a unique event in the whole country -, during which he had talked to us about a homogeneous calendar with the center Italy, in particular with Umbria and Tuscany, the final result is very different: once again the pre-opening has disappeared, the two additional days from stalking for each week during October and November have also disappeared, the seasonal game bag reduced for the snipe despite the fact that Ispra has not expressed its opinion on the matter, and despite the fact that the species is expanding by European studies and, finally, a shortened season for woodcock on January 20th instead of January 31st, as happens in the neighboring regions to ours.
In the face of homogeneity, interchange, scientific data and respect for our world and for the concession fees that it punctually pays. Just to give an example, the councilor had initially talked about two pre-opening days, 1 and 7 September, which obviously were not included in the calendar.
I would like to remind the regional councilor that in nearby Umbria hunters will be able to take advantage of three pre-opening days, on the first and on the 7th of September from stalking and on the 14th at quail with dog. We ask ourselves: why was this possible in Umbria while not in Lazio? Yet the Umbrian calendar also received Ispra's opinion.
I remind our councilor that in Umbria the Taliban do not govern, but a council identical to that of Lazio in color and composition, with the substantial difference that the scientific data provided by the hunting associations, together with the European key concepts, are analyzed and used to those who are, without further, useless limitations - perhaps ideological? - towards our world.
Therefore, Federcaccia Lazio asks the councilor and the regional council for certain and immediate answers for the hunters. This should not happen, within the next few days our association, in order to demonstrate all its dissent towards the current one Hunting Calendar, reserves the right to organize - possibly also together with the sisters - striking initiatives towards the Region, as happened last year and, unfortunately, already other times in the past.
