As if we didn't already have enough problems to face to try to defend ours in every way innate passion, this year we also had the surprise of the sentence of the Administrative Court of Lazio which ordered the start of the perimeter of the Portofino National Park. The problem does not concern the homonymous promontory, which has already been protected for a long time and is currently part of the Portofino Regional Park, but the hypothesis of abnormal extension of the borders of the National Park (from the current 800 hectares to over 5.000) which would affect territories that have nothing to do with the famous promontory.
Within this territory, in addition to being obviously prohibited from hunting, many activities would be inhibited or greatly limited today, normally and serenely carried out by the land owners without any obvious counterpart. The Italian hunting federation, above all through its managers at the provincial and local level, has been moving from the very first moment to all the appropriate venues in order to prevent the perimeter of the National Park encompass all these territories.
If the extension of the National Park is less than the 5000 hectares envisaged it will mean that our efforts have been decisive, otherwise we will continue the battle tirelessly to prevent such a large part of our territory from falling back. constraints not useful to anyone. The delicacy of the matter and the timeliness of the negotiation does not allow me to be more explicit about what we are doing, but I guarantee you that our forces are working daily to achieve this desired result and we will keep you informed of future developments. Good luck to all of us (Avv. Andrew Campanile - Ligurian Regional President of the Italian Hunting Federation).
