Nazzareno Galassi, vice president of Provincial Federcaccia of Macerata, he recalled with a note the Regional Law number 7 of 1995 ("Regulations for the protection of wild fauna and for the protection of the environmental balance and discipline of hunting"). L'article 10 bis, in particular, provides for the establishment of areas of hunting respect. These zones serve to increase the number of hares, pheasants and gray partridges, but also to allow migratory fauna to overwinter.
The increase of wild boars in the Marche has been a reality for several years and damage to agricultural crops and road accidents cannot be underestimated. According to Federcaccia Macerata, therefore, one cannot think of banning the hunting of ungulates in areas of hunting respect, also because the other species must be protected from the wild. In some areas there are inhabited centers, but for Galassi these are only practical reasons for what concerns the table.
In case of hunted or turned wild boar jokes every safety rule is respected, therefore for the association there is no need for other laws, since compliance with the current ones is more than sufficient. The management of wild boars and deer, again according to Galassi's note, must take place with technical-scientific methods and not like in Disney's fairy tales. Finally, the activation of the technical table for the management of wild boar by the regional councilor for hunting, Moreno Pieroni, was welcomed.
